Compact. Powerful. Ready for Deployment.
The Low Voltage Containerized Boiler from BABCOCK WANSON offers a fully integrated, mobile heating solution built to deliver efficient and reliable hot water production wherever it's needed. Housed in a robust, modified 20-foot container, this plug-and-play system ensures quick installation, safety, and exceptional performance for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications.
General information
The Containerized Boiler is engineered to provide 980 kW of heating power with 28 individually controlled Incoloy 800 immersion heaters, delivering maximum flexibility and performance. Designed for operation on a 400V – 50Hz three-phase supply, the unit supports pressures up to 7 bar and offers precise temperature regulation from 20°C to 95°C, with built-in safety features that cap temperatures at 110°C.
Encased within an insulated container (50mm Rock Wool, fire class M0), the system integrates a complete water circulation and heat exchange setup, electrical controls, safety devices, and frost-proof protection. This turnkey solution significantly reduces installation time, providing immediate access to high-quality, reliable heating.

Areas of use
The Low Voltage Containerized Boiler is ideal for industrial process heating, where consistent and controllable hot water supply is critical. It fits perfectly into commercial facilities requiring robust heating systems without major infrastructural modifications. Additionally, it serves as an excellent choice for temporary heating needs at construction or renovation sites, district heating systems, marine and shipyard operations, and emergency backup scenarios, where quick deployment and flexible performance are crucial.

Key benefits
Choosing the Low Voltage Containerized Boiler brings multiple advantages. It is a true turnkey mobile solution, requiring minimal on-site preparation and ensuring fast commissioning. Its compact and space-saving container design allows for effortless transport and installation even in constrained environments. Built with high-efficiency heating stages and a proportional control system, the unit guarantees precise energy management. Thanks to the use of top-grade materials like Incoloy 800 and carbon steel, it delivers long-term durability and resistance to challenging operational conditions. Furthermore, the system emphasizes operator safety through integrated thermostats, water level protections, and pressure control devices, making it an all-around reliable and flexible solution.
Technical information
At the core of the containerized system lies the 980 kW electric hot water boiler, featuring 28 x 35 kW immersion heaters to allow precise, staged heating. The boiler body is made of carbon steel without internal coatings, built to handle a maximum operating pressure of 7 bar. The temperature regulation system offers a control range between 20°C and 95°C, with an automatic safety cutoff at 110°C to prevent overheating.
The container is pre-equipped with a double circulation pump capable of handling 42 m³/h, an expansion vessel of 100 liters, and a heat exchanger rated at 1000 kW. Internal piping connects the water supply (DN25) and hot water distribution (DN150) networks, all fully insulated to prevent heat loss. The electrical cabinet features six controlled stages plus one thyristor-based proportional stage, providing fine-tuned energy management and fault-protected operation.
Integrated safety systems include protection against water shortage, overheating, and circulation failure, with all electrical equipment grounded for maximum reliability. The container also includes frost-proof heating, panic exit bars, security lighting, and ventilation to ensure safe and comfortable operating conditions.
